2002 vtr engine into a 97 vtr car

   hi folks. My vtr engine is scrap from my 97 vtr and i was wondering what all has to an changed to get a 2002 vtr engine to work in the car as i can get a low mileage engine but its out of a 2002 and not a 97 that it will be going into

   may need to change some of the sensors from your engine to the newer one, as they will prbs have different plugs

   what way does it work with keys and stuff do you just have to get an ecu to match the engine or do you need the specific key with it too?

   It can be wired up to the single plug ecu that your car will have, meaning you can keep your key

   never thought of that, will the phase 2 engine run off the phase 1 ecu with no problems?

   You will probably have to modify the loom for sensors etc

   would it work if i was to throw the old sensors from my 97 engine onto the 2002 engine and stick with the 97 loom?
