Car wont start

I've had another problem with my car again

it used to turn over slowly but it wouldn't start unless you had the accelerator pressed down alot

I let my brother drive it and looked around and he was flashing the lights and said when he turned around it cut out an it wouldn't start from the key, tried to bump it in 2nd and it wouldn't so had to do in 1st

left it running after and turned it off then when I tried to start it it turns but didn't start it just went really slow, I got my dads diesel LDV convoy which can jump his range rover in about 30 seconds of ring connected but my car would start. Eventually it did after around five minutes of being connected.

I undone the bottom hose of the radiator to drain the fluids and replace them so I done that and when I went to find the anti freeze my brother put some water in and we bumped it, I noticed it dripping from around the bottom of the radiator / hose. Is this from where the water that drained went everywhere an was just dripping out or could i have broke it?

the battery is brand new and I've just serviced it using new fuel, oil and air filters and spark plugs and ht leads. When I took the old air filter out it stunk of petrol really bad

Any help would be great

check all earths, gearbox + chassis, you said it cut out, i would check the alternator is ok to mate, if not then could be a million things from coil pack, spark plugs, injectors, start off with the cheapest first, so earths
