Will it be ok to run without temp sensor plugged in?

    Been having trouble with idling.. i changed the Temp sensor for 1 out of my VTR engine..

    however i've just unplugged it, and it idle's perfect! but obviously the temp gauge is on max with the red light on..

    Will i be fine running it with it unplugged for a few day's until I get a new one?

    would have thought it should be ok as long as the fan is still kicking in when it gets hot

    Got my fan on a switch, but i've only had to use it twice.. So engine doesn't overheat usually.

    I'll go for it =]
