Cheap tire deals?

  1. #1
I'm wanting to treat the clio to some new shoes before selling it . Has anyone got a good source online for a decent branded good value tire?

I have tended to use T1RS Toyo Proxes in the past, more out of habit than anything so I tend to use them as a benchmark as I know what I'm getting...

195/50/15 is my preferred size though I'm open to suggestion for a good deal?

Best I've managed is 4x Toyos as above fitted for £180.

    Any help?

If your going to sell why not just buy partworn's down by me the pirellis are 15quid a tire 195/45/r15

That's pretty much the best package you can get for your money's worth.

Obviously could get cheaper budget tyres.. but why? when toyo's are similar price

Budgets are an option but wouldn't a prospective buyer prefer good tyres? The sort of person who buys a Renaultsport generally wants good rubber I'd say and it is a bit of a selling point, so part worns are a no straight away.

But having 4new tires on the car is not going to +200 quid on your selling price

I wouldn't think it would, but if I was buying a car and it had 4 tyres needing replacing it would be £200 off my offer.

I don't wanna add value to it, that's silly- but it's certainly more appealing to someone if they can see the expense hasn't be spared on them and it's ready to drive away? I dunno, that's my logic!

Well if i was buying a car aslong as the tires had a good amount of tread on them and the front 2 match same as the back 2 then i wouldnt really care.

Part worns are like 5/6mm tread for a quarter of the price

I have never bought part worms that's why I dismissed them immediately, I might just had a little enquire about them.

    Cheers for the nod

it might not add £200 to the selling price but it might mean a sale and its a barganing point, so maybe you wont get knocked down as much if at all than finished tires but depends who your selling to... if youve had phone calls and theyve been idiots like "how fast does it go" then there not worried about tires...
