Warning lights

   Hi everyone,
   
   Hope you'll be able to help. My Saxo randomly Saturday started having the oil light and warning light come on when I accelerated. My bf said he was sure he knew what it is was, and would sort this weekend for me. Anyway last night driving from work the engine management light came on. Any ideas why? Could the two be linked? So because the other lights are coming on it's threw up a fault?

   I would get a diagnostic test done on the car and just to be sure, is there enough oil in the car (sounds stupid) but still

   The oil warning light is indicating that there's low oil lol. Shouldn't really be driving it if there's low oil.
   
   If you've ran it low and the engine is now low on oil, I imagine the eml will come on to warn you that it's about to go boom!
   
   Check the oil (Takes 2 seconds) then fill up if neccessary. Should all be fine after that.

   Probably should of said before. Definately oil in it. It's just had an oil change and service

   In that case, diagnostics check is your friend.

   i know you said you had a service but a leak could of sprung or engine burns it off so check level again simple job could save you £££

    Yeah ivwill check oil cos like u say it's a 2 min job. But I would thought that light would stay on. It flickers on and off like a dodgy connection. I'm 95% sire it's not oil, and was under the impression this was a common fault on saxos for this light to flicker. Obviously not!

    Loose oil pressure switch connector.. Il sort it at the weekend... Its probs flashed up a fault on the ecu after flickering on and off over and over... Il reset the ecu and solder on the new connection ive got from the scrapyard today...

    My oil and battery light used to flicker when my alternator was on it's way out, and i took it up the rev's.
