like there's single plug ecus, and three plugs, what does this mean? and what do 3 plugs do better than one?
whats the difference between ecu's?

#1

#2single plug is the phase one and start of the phase 2 (the first 6 months or so iirc)
3 plug is the rest of phase 2s. the mpg is a little better.
on vtrs its 8 more bhp too. not sure about the other engines (1.4, vts etc) -
#3mines is single plug, i think
-
#4Single or three plug literally refers to the amount of connector plugs it has going into it
-
#6compare those vtrs mate and youl see. mk1 is one plug and mk2 3plug. click the performance & economy tab. this is for the vtr so not sure if the effect is same for other engines
single plug

#7The ecu`s also have different maps too.

#8Pretty self explaining really.
Single plug ECUs was the first design..
3-plug's was the second slightly improved design..
