Important! : Air intake :(

I've currently got my air filter as shown in the picture below and I bought a replacement mushroom filter to sit on top of the air intake instead, but it won't fit.
Here's how I have it now...

I've circled where I want the mushroom filter to sit and what I want to get rid of.

The mushroom filter neck diameter is 76mm, does anyone have any idea what diameter reducer/adapter I would need to get to make this fit?!

return the part, get something that fits?

I know, but I'd prefer one to sit directly on top?

would mean loosing the breather hoses and the vacuum hoses. Not quite sure how you can work around the vacuum hose. Also doesnt that filter just suck up hot air?

why don't you just relocate it towards the front? surely its got to be better than back there.

should of left the original filter set up on and but a K&N replacement filter init!!

Indution kits are pointless unless u spend loads of money on positioning it ryt other wise u just get a loud noise and power loss.

mate thats the correct way to fit the filter. mine was exact same. and the standard cold air feed still goes directly to it. you can do it but there may be a chance your filter may stand too tall if you know what i mean and could have problems closing the bonnet.
