vtr cat on vts?

   Hey guys quick question could not find anything on the search, I have I'm 03 vts (2 lamba sensors) a friend of mine is going lend me a cat for my mot but is off a Mk1 vtr, my 2 problems are this, would a vtr cat lower the emissions enough and would the second lamba have to be in the exhaust in order for it to work correctly?

   should be fine i lent me cousin one for his gti (mine was a vtr cat) passed no problem

   Did his gti have a 2nd lamba sensor tho? As in 3 plug ecu?
