#2Full stainless steel Magnex, Scorpion and Piper systems are very high quality product. I would recommend any of those three.
-
#3btb is the best
BUT n ur looking at 600 new if you can still get one.
i think theres a batch left
plenty of other brands, scorpion, sebring, maxnex etc... -
#4btb bore is a touch too large for n/a vts, you'll still see gains but you lose some low end and perhaps a little mid range. personally would leave the btb to forced induction engines. i'd go magnex

as for 'chipping', leave well alone, if you don't know why then you'll only get ripped off by someone selling a resistor or ebay special claiming a 20bhp increase. go for a dastek or a remap of the standard ecu, but you don't need either if your only modification is an exhaust. -
#5didnt feel the 2.5" bore was over the top on any of the NA engines ive been in and that ranges from a vtr - vts - vts on tbs.
on my na vtr it made huge gains over a magnex and a sebring id had on it. -
#6personally wouldn't go above 2 1/4 bore unless the vts was cammed and remapped taking the btb into account.
-
#7thats the thing tho it allows alot wider choice of further upgrades without having to run another exhaust.
a pugsport is only 2.25 bore but is only meant to be unrestrictive up to 150bhp -
#8exactly mate that's was i was getting at, it depends how far you want to take it
-
#9yes i know, i was just stating what is the best

quality wise i think it is as well -
#10oh definitely
you can tell with the manifolds too, i mean just look at the difference between the gmc/btb manifolds and say the raceland ones for example. quality never comes cheap, usually for very good reason
-
#11lol the raceland fannymoulds are not that bad on close inspection tho, the welds seem up to scratch, just the steel they use i feel would crack easily, still for the price it doesnt matter.
