when driving at around 40-50+ I start to get a knocking noise which sounds like its rotational was wondering if a bad driveshaft could cause this?, its on my mk2 vtr. I had an issue with it pulling to the right aswell but that now seems to have stopped and just have the knocking instead.. or what else could it be?

#2Sounds like the intermediate bearing on the D/S Driveshaft, it's held in by two golf club like bolts.
Get some gearbox oil, and a D/S from the scrappy and replace, cheap fix, that way you won't spend £stupid money on a new one if you don't need it. -
#3Is there any way of checking if it is that or do I just have to replace it and see? cheers

#4Put the car on full lock & listen for a crack/thud noise.

#5Also check for excessive play in your bottem suspesion arm........

#6Checked your wheel nuts? sounds stupid bit i had it, forgot to check the hweel nuts, took it to a garage and looked like a right tard..although it was the last thing they checked...

#7yeah wheel nuts are all tight i always make sure they are done up properly now as it happened to me before too lol.. i'm thinking its gonna be the d/s but haven't had time to have a proper look yet
