hi just looked under car and the metal knucle thing is still in the wishbone arm and the rod is hanging and i can hear a loud humming like noise. could the broken rod make the driveshaft make this noise? is it safe to drive on cheers.

Normally a car is designed with all the bits you need to make it work.

So to hazard a guess I would so get it fixed.

Just drive to the garage in a sensible manner. Don't go all Aryton Senna on its ass!

If you mean the droplink then it will be fine. You'll just have alot of body roll as the ARB isn't connected.

i drove about for months with a drop link that had popped a ball joint, could hear clanks when it swung about hitting off things, depends how you drive the car should make it more prone to oversteer

Drive it nice and slow and you'll reach your destination, just keep in mind the handling will be severely sub par so just keep it safe even if that means pissing off people waiting behind you.

id better take it easy round corners then. just been onto the garage that fitted them, and theres some new ones on the way now, their still under warranty thank god. should be done by 4. hope it sorts the shaft humming noise out. cheers lads

Not sure mate, but its not the ideal scenario to have a snapped drop link.

Yea, and having a broken window makes your car overfuel....

Theyre not even connected, think about it

had a drop link break on the 406 last week and jammed the wheel up, luckily at slow speed
