Exhaust manifolds

    Hey

    ive seen that on naturally asperated engines people generally use 4-2-1 manifolds, whats the advantage of this over the sports type 4-1 manifold that is usually used on the turbos like all the pipes same length or is it that the 4-1 helps the turbo spool and no real performance gains in either??

    sorry just read what i wrote, i meant to say no real performance gains over the other one... just wondering cus saw a custom mani on a n/a skyline and wondered why everyone favours the 4-2-1....

    Sadly these manifolds are rarely fully optimised as space is such a major design factor. Buy what fits.
