pre-cut window tint + Vt kit

   Hi wanting to tint my rear windows but im down on the cash atm so want to do it for cheapness would this i found on ebay be really hard and leave lots of bubbles if i tried it my self?

   if so will have to save up and do professionaly.
   
   Also if i want vtr arches put on am i going to need a new rear bumper at the back? cause looks like if you put vt archs on the back there gonna clash with the black bit on the bumper and the vtr bumpers are diffrent..

   fair dos dont want to wast 22 quid then have to get it profesionally done anyway

   For a saxo if you just want rear's done with 5yrs warranty its only like 60-80quid place by my area is 60 for all small 3door cards and 120 for all windows

   Unless your extremely paitent, DIY tints looks awful and you can spot them a mile off.
   
   If you get them done professionally, It will blend into the car and look great.
   If you try yourself and make mistakes, your eyes will constantly be drawn to it.
   
   Sounds like you made your mind up already

   To answer the op`s other question you also have to consider the cutting of your rear arches in order to fit the rear 1/4 panels of the vt kit.

   eBay tint film is also rubbish any way, 99% of the time it goes purple or just eventually completely opaque... then bubbling etc... not even worth the hassle mate.

   for the tint, if you remove the rear quarter windows (3 torx bolts) its dead handy from that respect, however the rear window itself isnt so removable and is a large area so is abit more challanging.
   
   VT* rear arches, imo will look odd without the rear bumper, as the arches will sit wide past the standard item. Rear bumper wont cost much so would be worthwhile doing it at the same time mate

   I used to work professioanlly as a window tinter and you might aswell just save the extra £60 odd to get a pro to do it, the amount and extent of some DIY tints i had to remove were shocking. For the rear window to do it properly you'd have to have the film cut bigger than the window, trim it down and heat shrink it to the outside of the window so it blends properly, otherwise it'll never sit properly. And as said, you can spot DIY tints a mile off compared to a pro job.

    with all the hassle and price of buying / fitting all that tat, you're better off buying a VT. On a 1.1 that just extra weight and extra insurance cost. Not to mention you'll look like a tit with a VT kit, tints and drum brakes at the back.

    Yours does look good, it's just like I said: not sure of being worth the amount of work + money + insurance going up because of cosmetic mods. I'd rather spend the money on a VT instead of going for the looks. Some may even wonder if you drive a souped up 1.0 due to the 3 nut wheels.
    
    I'll still give you some kudos for not cutting your rear arches.

    Ah mann sounds like so much hastle for the arches! I like JDubs car thought didnt think itd look rite just doing the front ones but looks good my car will look pretty similar except its an mk2
