#4what exactly is it doing? you have your foot down but the revs stick half way? or your not touching the peddle but revs are stuck?
-
#5Not touching anything the pedal is just stuck on floor. Pulled it up with hand and still does it.
-
#6have a look in the engine bay where the throttle cable attatches to the throttle body and try and close it that end. i'm guessing the cable is stuck from what you have said
-
#7stuck cable is my guess also, as said check throttle body end of cable
-
#8Ok thanks guys. Left car at work so will get bus down now and have a play.
-
#9Just had a look and the twisty bit is we're it should be could the cable have snapped?
-
#10Same thing happen me once. intake leak can cause this. does it rev up and down on its own. also ICV i changed on mine sorted problem out straight away. clean valves on throttle body. if not any them then yes also could be cable itself
-
#11Sounds like your throttle cable has snapped, had the same thing happen to me last year.............
-
#12Is it an easy job.
-
#13Yer just replace the throttle cable,it comes as a kit from citreon, about £15 or there on ebay............

#14Got car towed home this morning and had a look at it. The carb was stuck open. Got some carb cleaner and blasted it. It's working for now. Shud I change it or will it be ok
-
#15Your car doesn't have a Carb, its injection. you mean the throttle body (the butterfly valve) should be fine now its cleaned up.

#16Yes that's the one mate. Is it just an age thing that it gets stuck or is it the start of a different problem.
