Hi guys, what's the easiest way to get my injectors out with the engine in the car? Is it possible without removing the inlet?

#3Oh soz, its a 16v

#4It's pretty much locked in without the inlet coming out dude. I can't think of a way around it

#5Double post ...

#6The inlet looks like it will be a absolute bitch to remove with the engine in position. I only wanted them out to send them off to injectortune, seems like more hassle than its worth tbh Barry

#7honestly it's pretty straight forward, but you do need to jack the car up, whack on a load of extenders on to your ratchet and undo three bolts underneath, two on top of the inlet and then lob it off - remove injectors. sorted

Worth doing, having the injectors cleaned made a big ass difference. -
#8Oh right, I had a quick look today and there wasnt a huge amouny of space round it, il have a proper look tomorrow, if its that easy il do it!
-
#9It's proper easy peasy. Helps if you have someone on top guiding the hex bit into the bolts underneath - otherwise get a torch that you mate to your forehead (forgotten what they're called - headlamps?)
-
#10Ok mate il have a crack tomorrow, cheers!

#11Dead easy apart from the said two bolts on the bottom of the plenum. I got to them the same way as ads - under the car with loads of extensions.
Make sure you have a few rags handy when you disconnect the fuel lines from the injector rail too. Would probably be best to depressurize it at the fuel filter, but I couldn't be arsed.

#15I'm trying to keep 'ads' on the low. I'd prefer Barry, TheBazMaster9000 or God but if you must, call me ads.
