should fit but is it a decat for the mk1? as just thinking it might be too short if it joins onto the cat

Depends on which centre section it is. If its the standard one designed to be used with an under car cat (e.g. Mark 1 VTR/VTS) then obviously theres going to be a bit missing where the cat or decat pipe would normally go.

If its a Race centre section then it will run right up to the manifold the same as the mark 2 vtr centre sections.

You'll want the second centre section then, That will go all the way from manifold to the back box.

The first one is designed to be used with an under car cat, or a decat pipe.

It'll sound great, I was running a raceland manifold, decat, supersprint centre and piper bacbox for a while. Only thing I would say if you do a lot of motor way miles then It can get really annoying.

Also be aware that for MOT time you will have to have to replace the cat.
