Hey again, been noticeing my vts was leaking oil, i done some search saw about cam covers so i re-sealed them, still leaked so re-sealed them again. But its still leaking looks like its coming from the next metal bits down from the cam covers, is it a cambelt remove job? Also where else can i check ? Thanks

#2To add it leaks in 2 different places under the gearbox but you can see where it has run from the engine to the gearbox, other place is where the alternator is there a bit of wiring loom it seems to be leaking on and around it ..

#3Isn't that the head gasket problem these motors have, got the same problem thankfully it's not pissing out!
-
#4Sounds like its coming from the cam ladders to me - resealing of these will be a belt off job as they hold the camshafts in. Alternator area could be the usual head gasket degradation on the oilway closest to the nearside of the block

#5You could try this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WYNNS-DUEL...#ht_1029wt_952
Means you wouldn't have to take anything apart if it works! -
#6As said earlier, I's say try sealing the Cam ladders.
Not an expensive or hard job, just abit fiddly and time consuming.
Suppose it can be an excuse to do the cambelt & waterpump while you're there though if its due. -
#7As above, cam ladders.
The other leak near the alternator could be the HG has cracked in that corner as I have seen a few posts on here before about that.
If you are taking the belt, cams, ladders etc of then personally I would have the head off and change the HG anyway. -
#8Ahh cheers people i hope its not the headgasket as its got a metal one on it.. Edit also ed its done 52k miles and has a gates cambelt kit on it so its been recently i guess..
