air filter question

   hi im uprating my standard air box as from what i gather most people recomend this to buying a piperx or similar anyway im going to improve the feed to this box but i can see two tubes going to the box i know the top one is the feed but what is the lower one circled in the pic can this just be removed and the hole plugged up

   That box is the resonator box(to keep things quiet)once you take off the plastic ducting you`ll see that the resonator box is part of the ducting mate.

   or remove it and add a second ducting hose to it

   i just but mine and blocked it. No problems What so ever. If you leave it open its Loud. Not What I'd do myself.
