Ok so i can get a jp4 for £120, i have an 80k gti engine aswell, what do i need to take from the gti to put on the jp4?
    As far as i know...

    j4 sump
    j4 cams
    j4 exhaust manifold
    j4 inlet manifold
    j4 flywheel
    j4 alternater

Do i need to use j4 valve springs? If yea, can i use normal jp4 springs? whats the point in the springs being changed?? Because to be honest i dont wanna take the head off from the block... Thanks

    I'm confused

You have the whole engine or just parts??
Why would you want to change the cams , i think there is a small differnce between the j4 and jp4 ( something with how they get lubricated )

He has a jp4 engine, but you have to fit j4 bit's to it for it to fit in a saxo.

The j4 cam's do give slightly better gains than the jp4 ones, but i've read that j4 cam's don't fit 100%.

Probs 5bhp better, not worth taking the head off for.

Although you have to change the tensioners etc, to use a j4 cam belt cover, as the jp4 one has a engine mount sticking out of it.

There is a guide on here that tell's you everything, i'll try and find it...
