1.1 pop from engine on hill start

    i got a 1.1 east coast that doesnt wanna start unless i pull the accelerator pedal up. but today i was on a hill waiting for a car to pass, i put some gas on as it was a hill start and it lost power went "pop" then i had to revit up to get it back before it stalled. anyone know why it would try to stall and pop on a hill. is it coil or icv as i need to look at both anyways

    the ICV is the cause of having to pull the pedal up, my old easty used to do exactly the same. as for the pop, mine would pop when i tried bumpstarting it, guess its fuel thats been dumped in and hasn't ignited until its hit the exhaust due to the engine stalling?? dont quote me on that though lol
