Engine management light!

   over the last couple of days my engine management light has been coming on, my car has developed a 2 second lag when i put my foot down which i think may have something to do with it but im not 100% sure but when i leave the car off for about an hour and then turn it back on the light doesnt come back on.
   has anyone got any ideas on what the problems may be and how much it will be roughly to get it sorted.

   Its best to get your car hooked up to a diagnostics machine & get the fault codes read.Then go from there mate.

   Sounds like it may be some moisture in the coil pack and spark plugs, try to give that a dry clean and see what happens.

   if that's that, sweet sod all if you know how to do it yourself. Obviously more if you need to change the parts but I doubt that, change your spark plugs if you haven't done that recently.
