engine problem?

   this morning coming into work, it started to idle terrible then all of a sudden a large drop in power happend. i could move but verrrry slowly, i pulled over turned the car off, waited a few mins turned back on, started fine and was running fine but engine mangement light was flashing. There was alot of spray on the road so im thinking possible missfire? any ideas?.

   more than likely moisture in the coilpack / spark plugs. Have a good clean in there and it should go back to normal.
   
   After that, the EML should reset itself. If it doesn't just unplug your battery overnight.

   i had the exact same happen to mine, lucky my mate has a diagnostics kit, got the fault code and its single or multiple cylinder failure, cant remember exact fault code, but he reset it and its been fine ever since and as manu says its probably your coilpack

   yeah, i took it down to my uncles and ran it on a digonostic kit, came up cyldinder missfire, didnt note the code down but , it was what i first thought. Thanks for the response guys.

   it happened to me again this morning grrr!!!! new coil pack onm the way for me i think!!

   Defo coilpack had the LosE of power twice both times coilpacks. Don't buy cheap

   i cleaned mine up, it seems okay for now! but if it happens again soon, i'll be getting my self another pack.
