Going to have a go at this tommorrow hopefully, I was just wondering how the intermediate bearing is attatched to the carrier, does the carrier come apart or something? haven't had chance to have a look yet. Thought i'd ask incase i need any special tools to remove it? cheers

#2The carrier just has funny bolts with kind of offset shims on the end which hold the IB in place. It makes no sense in text until you get underneath and start twiddling. It's easy peasy though, although I understand it can seize and make life hell.1 user thanked this post:

#3what are the bolts like do I need a different tool to undo them or will normal sockets/spanners do it?

#4Can't remember dude, it was last year when I was doing loads of bits and bobs on the car. I don't recall using any special tools, maybe allan keys...???

#5Ah ok, well i have sockets, allen keys & torx's so hopefully it will be one of those lol.. cheers

#6you just undo like an 11mm nut on one side. the bolt it'self looks like a golf club. you may have to just hold it inplace to stop it from turning while you undo the nut. just a finger will be ok1 user thanked this post:

#7Spanners is easier taking the o/s driveshaft out mate.

#8Its an 11mm spanner or socket you need to undo the nut on the end, and you pull them out a bit and rotate 180 degrees, could just take them right out though they only fit in properly one way.1 user thanked this post:
