Fuel economy..

   Been running this diesel for a while now. Thing is its only returning at best 42/50MPG albeit knocking around without a lead foot.
   
   Someone suggested using a tank of B100 to clean the fuel system out but I don't see that's done much at all.
   
   Any thoughts?

   A person I once knew got 48 mpg avg. whilst doing 90 mph in a 1.5D over in germany.
   
   I used to get 50's around town though.

   HA not driving it like a nut job! Done a service 2 weeks back even tried injector cleaner... waste of money!

   Think so, 9.91 gallon / 460 miles comes out at 46MPG.

    pretty poor for a Diesel tbh, Saxo i'm assuming? I get 43mpg when doing town and m'way with a heavy foot, you must be raping it lol

    Same here my furios got 421 manifold , de cat and supersprint and enclosed induction and im still getting 42-46mpg thats with heavy footed driving aswell , must be something wrong with the diesel for sure as im sure you can easily get a bit higher of a mpg number

    Trust me I drive it like a OAP local and 70 on motorway.. the diesel specialist who has my fucked Modus parts said pintle injectors start to degrade after only 60k? Surely he's talking shit!!?!

    I get about 30-35mpg in the VTS, especially in this weather with short trips.
