Side Skirts

  1. #1
Are there any standard saxo sideskirts for a 1.1 desire? I don't want to have to buy a skirt that will effect insurance, I just don't like the look of the car without one.

    Buy a furio/westcoast/vtr/vts kit
  3. #3
Don't want a full kit, that would effect insurance right?
  4. #4
standard sideskirts will look pretty shit on their own tbh

Hmm, I just think the car needs something there as it looks like they just end. Pics of my car here:

Basically everything you do to a car will effect your insurance, some people declare there mods some dont. 95% of people get away without declaring but if they crash things can sometimes go kaput.
But some companys say you dont have to declare mods that are not performance enhancing

So even spraying the grill etc will have to be declared?

    FUTURE PLANS

    Lowering.
    Alloys.
    Induction Kit.
    Tinting read windows.
    Replacing rear lights.
    Angel Eyes.

All of these would effect your insurance, but look in your insurance doc's and see what it says.

    Btw who you with ?

I know they will, but that's why they are future plans, I can save for them.

I would just go ahead and put the vt kit on if i was you, although a vt back and front bumper on a flat arch lowerd looks very nice

Any pics of a VT kit on a 1.1? And do you have any idea on how much this could effect insurance. I mean I'm quite lucky now as I only pay £800 a year in monthly installments.

full VT kit on a 1.1 will look exactly like a VT but be slower lol

surely a standard bumper wouldnt change insurance premiums its not like you adding a bad boy bodykit
  15. #15
Haha now I feel like an idiot. I'm learning lol!
I think I will wait a bit before such a big mod
  16. #16
You are never going to get caught out for it. well i doubt it
    Small mod tbh and cheap

    Btw thank's for the "Sig"

Cheap? I looked on ebay and the kits were about £100-£300 and none in the right colour so I would need to take it to a body shop...

When you hit 100 posts and a member for a month, in the for sale section people usually do it for about 70quid in your colour

part with a tenner then, and buy premium - you will be able to go on the for sale section straight away - not too expensive for the amount you can save, if you want it soon

£10 a year? And I get paid on Sunday but that money will be spent on my trip to Newcastle in Feb.
