Just been to the garage and had my parada spec 2's fitted to direct saxo fitment pro race 1.2's....fitted the wheels to my saxo (about 40mm drop) and they rub like a bitch on the rear inner arches! Anyone else had this problem and know what spacers are needed to sort it?
Parada spec 2's on 15's rubbing?

#2I would be interested in this aswell, I have got some pro race 1.2's on order with T1R tyres and I was about to order some 50mm lowering springs.
Bit worried now with this thread -
#3when i put my alloys on it was the same story. 3mm spacers from halfords fixed that

#4as long as you got 45 profiles you should be alright mate, the spec 2's are a 50 profile so the sidewalls stick out a lot more which is what causes the problemQuote:I would be interested in this aswell, I have got some pro race 1.2's on order with T1R tyres and I was about to order some 50mm lowering springs.

yeah i got some 5mm's and it seems to have just done it, still rubs on front arch liners on full lock but im not too worried about that -
#5I run spec 2's and get rubbing on the rear. I took the arch out and then did some cutting and rolling work on some metal work on the arch. I get a lot less rubbing now, only time it happens is if I go over a hump (not speed bump but like a drop or something) fast in the road.

#6do you use spacers as well as that??Quote:I run spec 2's and get rubbing on the rear. I took the arch out and then did some cutting and rolling work on some metal work on the arch. #7Yer, think they are 5mm ones.

#9If u tuck you head under and look up wards towards the sky nearer to the edge of the car is a piece of thin metal. I curved and cut it as it was creating a groove in my tyre. Thin one cos it's only bout a mill think but still lol

#10*SIGH OF RELIEF* I was quite worried as the wheels I purchased arent direct fit so they come with hubcentric spacers to make them a perfect fit, I was thinking I would of had all sorts of trouble and expense to get it sorted, but yes I have 45 profile tyres comingQuote:as long as you got 45 profiles you should be alright mate, the spec 2's are a 50 profile so the sidewalls stick out a lot more which is what causes the problem

#11Sort of related, I'm running VTS wheels with 195/50 T1-Rs and they rub on some bumps when I'm on my own and a shit load if I'm slightly loaded up.
I'm only down 40mm and had no issues when I was running 45 profile.
Do I simply need a small spacer to get it away from the car? -
#15Yer. If u was looking at the vehicle from the side then it at about the ten o'clock mark if the wheel had a clock face lol and it's near the outter edge bout 50 mm in. Hope you understand that lol

#16Mine rub on full lock but I don't spend much time on full lock, apart from that they are fine 106 FTW

#17They feel kinda weird to drive on imo, when i turn at speed it feels like the tyre wall flexes real bad and the car kind of wobbles. Anyone else have this? What pressure do you inflate them to?
