starting issue

   hi all,
   
   carn't seem to get my car going spent loads on it now
   
   basically i've put a reversed polarity charged battery in my car and managed to mess it all up, mech rekons it was my ecu so sent it off to be fixed
   
   (sorry cam kinda got bullied into having the guy do it for me)
   
   
   
   had my ecu back today from being unlocked (bypass imobalizer) and i still carnt get the fuel pump to prime also, mech tryed a dif coilpack to see if there's a spark there wasn't but saying that the battery was on its way out (needs charging after many a time trying to start it)
   
   im thinking its the fuel relay but ive gotta wait for the ecu guy to come and run a diagnostics on the ecu
   
   all my fuse give a resistance read out so i assume there all working fine
   
   really getting on my nerves now other than hooking up a live to the pump i dont know where to turn now
   
   as from the wiring diagram the relay,coilpack,ecu,injectors ect are all connected so a dodgy relay should will explain no spark no primed i'd imagine
   
   surly theres a pro on here that can help

   sounds like the ecu is locked. after having it unlocked, before you put it back in did you remove the immobiliser box?

   alright lads
   
   bit of good news i got the car going all it was as the live feed from the battery to the fuel relay wired up a new fused connection at it started straight away only problem is it cost me £250 to get it sorted oh well its a learning curve
   
   only other problem is now my dials wont work
   
   tryed the battery trick and it work for about 30 mins pulled up to the missis mums and turned the ignition off then got back in and there still not working
   
   think i should try some cleaner on the speed sensor,check fuses (all seemed ok before) check as many wires in the instument circuit for risistance then think of new dials?????

   hi there could you tell me what the live feed looks like for the fuel pump that goes to the battery as i have a 1.1and it wont start at all

   i think it plug 15 but dont quote me on that it goes from the relay to the loom behind the passenger headlight i had to have an auto elec guy look at it for me
