-40mm with lower strut brace?

  1. #1
My sax is dropped 40mm and I've got a chance to get a real cheap upper and lower strut brace off my mate. Would I have clearance issues with the lower brace?
Bare in mind this is only a 1.1 on 13inch wheels, I wouldn't even look at braces if it wasn't going for next to nothing (as this is, mates rates etc)

I would have thought it should be fine, however, if its on the cheap, is there much harm in trying, even if it doesnt??

    But it should be fine

should be fine mate. the wheels wont make a difference as they probably have a big profile tyre which, when i put my 13s next to my 15" alloys with lower profile tyres, they look about the same size. my mate was down 60mm with a lower brace and 15s and he was fine. obviously just take a bit of care with speedbumps if your worried

Mine rubs on a few speed bumps and mine is down 50mm on 15s with one.

They hang quite low so will need to be careful.

Worth buying though as they improve handling a lot.

I'm down around 50mm on 14's and i very rarely knock it on anything tbh.
