Fitting the Spoox/Vibratechnics mount

  1. #1
    Hi,
I am a bit confused about fitting the Spoox / Vibratechnics mount on the ECU side.

Ok I need to drill a 12mm hole in the alloy arm, but what's about the oem rubber buffer

Do I have to combine the parts, are there any pros/cons If I am fitting both?

Or will the rubber buffer be useless?

    Thanks a lot

Yes you need to drill the hole aluminium arm and the rubber buffer to accept the 12mm bolt.

Some people told me, I should not mount the rubber buffer, just the engine mount and it will be fine!

    What do you think?

You need the rubber buffer as well mate.

Doesn't say in the instructions to use the buffer. I don't and haven't had any problems.

Maybe not mate but I always work on the theory that if its fitted then its there for a reason(not being funny)

And if for any reason your bolt snaps then you have the rubber bush to give some buffing to get you home

Fitted mine without buffer and it's okay.

I heard the reason it is there is to stop engine dropping and damaging the sump if the mount fails. But that might be complete bs
