try telling people what model you have. that would probably help

Different pin order and the grey ones have a reference wire. I think Andy (Luthor) could explain in more detail!

thanks for getting back to me. i have a pug 206 but fix saxo up too. hence on here.

it only just i bought a a coilpack from ebay and not paying attention to the plug i ended up with a black one and not the grey one i needed.
its to fit a 1.4 quicksilver.

i have noticed within the plugs that the plug its self is moulded differently, so i could not just file of the differance and it would work then? im trying to find info on net but having now luck unless im l0ooking in the wrong places

on the 16v engine... you can use a grey plug coilppack on a black plug car. I presume you could do it the other way round aswell...

i have a grey plug coilpack.. filed off the little tag that stops the black plug on the car fitting on it. then just have to swap iirc wire 3 an 4 around.

Like i say... worked for me

Ah but i think quilksilver uses different type plug to 16v so maybe wires are different

I have a black plug one on my VTS which originally had a grey plug on, doesn't seem to make any difference for me.

    hmmm

my grey plug came with my JP4 engine... defo wired differently inside the coilpack.

Im using full jp4 engine with gti single plug wiring loom and ecu. Maybe proper grey plug coilpack for j4 engine is internally the same

I've done exactly the same mines a 2000 vts and has a black plug and I bought the grey plug one. I've filled off the bit to make it fit into the black plug but when it won't turn over help.
