I have a mk2 VTS with supersprint 4 branch manifold and magnex back system. For some reason though the mid section goes well past it's hanging points, resulting in the back box sticking out the bumper. Are there different size de cat pipes?
Question onVTS decat pipe sizes

#2Yep - 2001+ VTS' had a lambda hole after the CAT, hence they had a longer CAT and shorter centre pipe.

#4Yeah that sounds like the case. Cheapest option is probably swap the decat pipe for the shorter one without the lambda hole (which you don't need anyway).

#5Thanks, I'll look into that.Quote:Yeah that sounds like the case. Cheapest option is probably swap the decat pipe for the shorter one without the lambda hole (which you don't need anyway).
Any idea on the difference in size they are? The mid section fouls the hanger by a good 5cm, if not a little more? -
#6Yeah that sounds about right. I tried fitting an early centre pipe to a 3 plug VTS CAT and like you say, the centre hanger was miles out from lining up and the flange for the backbox was too close to the rear of the car.Quote:Thanks, I'll look into that.

I suppose you could have some length chopped out your decat pipe too - someone on here should be able to measure an early CAT/ decat pipe for you. Failing that, fire Magnex an e-mail - they should know what the difference in length is.
