Drive shaft?

   Went out in the snow today and when trying to get un stuck i noticed the front right wheel or drive shaft or something was making a sqeaking sound as the wheel turned with the steering wheel on full lock. Also when the front right suspension moves up and down it some times makes a knocking sound. Can any one explain what the problem might be.
   
   Also my mates saxo was making the same sound today and his drive shaft snapped :/

   Knocking noise can be a few things.. best bet is to get the car up in the air.. get the wheels off and check all the suspension components.
   
   Sure it wasn't just snow clogged up and scraping when on full lock?

   my fiances got a noise on the front right when turning hard right like on a manouver it knocks and when on a bumpy road its not very nice, on that one at least its the top mount where the damper bolts and spring sits in the cup...i think its the spring moving, so there the first places to look... it should be seated in the cup correctly where the end of the spring ends and the lip in the top cup mount hope helps

   ill have to do it after the snow, no i dont think it was snow because it sounded mechanical
