suspension help!!!

   I decided to remove my front strut tonite but ran in to a few problems. I got the track rod end off and top strut bolts but couldn't get the lower arm ball joint out! the pinch bolt came out easy but the threads strippped aswell. I tryed hitting the lower arm with a hammer plenty of times but it doesn't want to come out. Any ideas??????

   jack the strut up off the disc a bit and hit it again. its a bit of a fiddle with trial and error, sometimes they come straight off and sometimes theyre a bastard

   might be worth buying a ball joint splitter if you still have trouble. although ive never needed one myself

   ye thing is with the splitter it'l rip the ball joint boot and then come MOT its a fail!
