lowering by 50mm

    was just told on another forum if I lower my VTR say goodbye to my gearbox, I have seen tons of progress threads and the majority are lowered, I havent seen any one complaining of lost gearboxes.

    Just rather reply with knowledge..

    Sounds like a strange link to me Lowering and you lose your gearbox? Never heard it mentioned until now haha

    driveshafts maybe, never know lowering to bugger up a gearbox and we have lowered plenty of them

    Only time i had an issue with the gear box, was when the n/s ds snapped and put a hole in the gear box... Never heard it anyother way

    The gearbox gnomes come and take it away once they get tipped off about you lowering 50mm. Then in the night they take it away, best to lower 49 or 51mm

    Thanks guys for confirming what I thought, would a drop of 50mm require different driveshafts ? or should i be ok?

    you will be fine on standard shafts. i'm down 60mm+ and have been for a long time. the only problems with my shafts are the cv joints but they were like that for 3 years before i even got the car lowered
