   Looking at various exhausts, what seems to be popular is a supersprint straight through race section decatted with a piper backbox? Can anyone else list nice exhausts, looking for a raspy pop sound, budget of around 500-600 including de-cat

   I was paying 3k for my clio 1.2 16v last year before I crashed it ^_^
   
   - No idea how its 2k for a 1.6 !

    i got 2k thrid party at 17 for my r :-(
    
    anyway exhausts that make your required pop are
    supersprint straight through
    saxsport straight through although this is quieter then the ss
    pecos are nice also with a standard exhaust and bolt on d cat
    i had a big bore that sounded vtec on my vtr but i did also have a 4-1 mani so some big bores will give a hint of rasp

    I just heard that the saxsport is a ralley sort of sound which I really like, what would sound better?

    Janspeed 4-2-1 Mani Saxsport straight through with Sports Cat
    
    
    OR Option 2:
    
    
    Saxsport straight through with decat
    
    (No mani or sports cat)

    Best option woule be aftermarket manifold (raceland, supersprint etc) and then Saxsport.
    
    With the options above, option 2 is better than 1.
    
    On a mk2 vtr the cat is part of the manifold so if you chose option 2 then you would not be decatting it as the saxsport only decats the Mk1 VTR where the cat is under the car.

    Get a Raceland or piper S/S Mani, kam racing centre section, Either a Saxsport, Kam racing, piper or supersprint backbox. SORTED!
