Refurbish Rear Beam.. Where from?

  1. #1
    Hi guys,

Where is the best/cheapest place to get a refurbished rear beam (don't want to risk a second hand one)?

    Thanks!
    Dan.

A refurbished beam is not going to be cheap to be fair, but probably the most highly regarded on this site is IM Axles. As you say it's a risk with a second hand one, and the new one will look nice and shiny lol.

As above IM axles is your best bet, had my refurbished one from them coming up 3 years now and its done more mileage than the original beam that failed on me lol

im axles sell them for like £350 or around that. Thats like half or a third of the value of a saxo. Id just get a second hand low mileage unlowered one for about £100 if it were me

It all depends on how long you are planning to keep your car.

If you are going to be selling it within the next few months or so, i'd get a second hand one.
However, if your planning of keeping it for a few years maybe, then i'd go for a reconditioned one

Thanks for the replies, I shall order one from IM Axles on Friday

The trouble with buying and fitting second hand one for £200 is that you only have to have it fail once more before you've equalled the cost of getting a refurbished one fitted!

I like to look after my car well so I'll go for a refurb Spend over a grand on the ole Sax in the last 2 months!
