saxo REAR debaging

  1. #1
    i have a mk1 westcoast
now i would like to take the saxo badge off the back if its easily done.
i dont want to get half way through and realise theres major paint fade or its actually bolded on etc..

if you recommend or infact do not recommend debadging for any reason, let me know.

how would i go by taking the badge off?
hairdryer and a something to gingerly prize it off?
this is how id imagine to do it IF its just glued on.

    cheers

Rear badges are clips when you take them off you will have 2small holes either side of the boot

    could be filled and painted?
debating whether its worth it or not

as said they are clued on and held in place with pin thats go into holes in the boot, If you get them just filled with filler its likely to crack so will need welding and painting etc, not sure how much though had mine done when I had other bits done at the same time, pics of this also in my progress thread

To do this properly have it done at a bodyshop mate.

Trouble with doing that way is you`ll never get a paint match between new & old paint.

They don't come with a badge that says "Vts 120" on them so it looks as though someone has stuck it on yours. Basicly the Citroen and Saxo have holes behind. On the vts the 16v badges on the rear quarter are double taped, similar story with the furio ones i think.

Imo not worth it, just spray the badges.

Thanks Dan.Thought that badge came as standar as it's too ugly for someone to fit it.Will remove it asap now that i am 100% sure it wont leave any holes

P.s Take a look at how ugly it looks .Dont have any other pics of it though
