Important! : VTS Temperature gauge fluctuating.

    As above really.

    Was driving along earlier coming to a stop and the Engine/Coolant Temperature gauge suddenly went up past 3/4 then down to just over 1/2.

    Done it a few times before, and I've noticed it seems to be sitting steady between 1/2 - 3/4 on the gauge over the past few days.

    Its due a coolant/antifreeze change anyway as It seems mostly water and is a fugly colour.

    Could it be a Dodgy Temperature sensor/Thermostat?

    Could be a air lock ed, best to flush the whole system and go from there

    Iye, good point. Was going to do it today, but I was being a bitch about it being freezing.

    Will do it tomorrow and see if that changes anything

    as above mate really give it a coolant change and if it carrys on try temp sensors rip the ones off your old 16v mate will be the same if its a single plug typical saxo just bought it and its playing up all ready

    I had the same problem & it was the temp gauge sensor(on thermostat housing)that was faulty mate.
