02 reg vts won't start???

    Hi folks,

New on here but the problem I have is that my vts won't start.
It is in at the auto electricians for a week now,
They have unlocked the ecu, recoded the key and still nothing,
I went rond the scrappys yesterday and got a few of the brown coloured relays that are fitted under the ecu in the engine bay.

Anyone got any ideas? Both myself and the garage are struggling now.

    Thanks,

    David.

How have you got a unlocked ecu but re-codded the key? Does a little key light on the dash flash when you try to start it?

Sorry mate, am not sure. That's what the garage told me they had done.
when I got it dropped off to them the little key light on the dials was flashing.

Yes the ECU is locked and my bet they have not un-plugged the immoboliser which is found under the glovebox area, everytime you plug another ECU in the code from the immo and ECU are not the same so it thinks it been nicked. Eg key light flashes wont start.

talked to the guys at the garage.

they had tried to un-plug the bit under the glovebox.

the light on the dash is out aswel but they are still unsure what is wrong, they dont think its getting fuel or a spark, i got a spare 106 gti coilpack dropped off at them today but still nothing, any other ideas before i break the car???

What they un-plugged it today? You can not just plug it back in, leave it un-plugged and get the ECU unlocked and it will start.

Got the car back today, found the black cover on the top of the engine had been snapped, coil pack connector damaged, fuse box at the passenger side of the engine bay was cracked with the actual fuse holder inside just sitting there.

The immobiliser thing below the glovebox was still connected and the key light still on in the dash.

    Sent you a pm "cam"
