VTS battery not holding a charge .. changed everything!

    Mk2 saxo vts..

    Alternator was squealing..

So i replaced the alternator, the alternator belt and the alternator pully..

Since doing this the battery is not getting charged and just drains itself..

Ive changed the alternator,, ive checked the wiring,, ive changed the battery.. So what else?

No battery light.. It runs fine for 5 mins then battery drains, cd player turns off.. speedo stops all dials stop.. and it dies. i dont understand what else it could be.

Possible current drain from somewhere else,do you have a sub fitted?

i have an amp in but i removed the earth from it?

    Sounds like an earth fault......

    ive removed amp and sub..

ive just this minute linked a wire from the live on the alternator directly to the live on the battery and still doing the same so that rules the wiring out of the problem.. ive changed ther battery and alternator to known working ones..

this happened after i changed the alternator, belt and pulley i havent touched anything else..

If it is an earth how can i test this run an earth cable directly from my engine to my negative on battery? just to test if it is an earth?

Where abouts are the common earth faults?
