help fitting front fogs...

  1. #1
Right then I'm a bit stuck fitting some OE front fogs to my 2000 reg 1.1 forte saxo. So far I have fitted:
    - vts indicator stalk
    - fog light loom
    - fog light units
    - bulbs
    - 15 amp fuse

And its not working! I would of thought it would of been a plug a play job but ovously different,
I'm just wondering if any one else has had this trouble and I'm also wanting to no were the fog light loom plugs into the car loom ( mk1 plugs etc) how many wires go to the car loom plug? If you no what I mean.
Any help will be great and much appreciated!
    Cheers

couldn't you just do a seperate circuit for them and have a rocker switch on the central locking roof pannel?

i would also like to know about this. plugged my foglights into the green plug behind the headlight but nothing happened. the foglight plug has 2 wires going into it and where it plugs into behind the headlight only has 1

I went through all this last year after putting my fogs in. Came to the conclusion that it doesnt work! All iv done is ran it to a switch inside the car, the switch that its wired too is a fog light switch out of an older saxo which goes by the hazard lights switch and rear demister one. So looks standard with the fogs lights symbol on it.

i like the sound of the standard switch. i think the rocker switch would look tacky aswell. i exhausted my electrical knowledge just looking for the plug though so its a job for someone else

Hmmmm this fog light switch sounds good! I will keep my eyes out for one, is there just 2 wires on the back of the fog light switch?

maybe similar to the mk2 zr bill. if it didn't have the fogs out of the factory, the loom is there, but it needs activating i.e plugged into to turn them on.

    that could be your problem.
and it's a westcoast switch not vts (although i belive they are the same anyway)

The plug for my fog lights was under the headlight, down by the power steering pump, have you checked that area?

Yes kirk I've plugged it all in, and kyle I no its a west coast indicator stalk but there all the same aren't they and I no what you mean, you mean by plugging in diagnostic and activating it?
