Sunroof drains?

  1. #1
Just been out giving the car a quick clean, realised theres a build up of water in the sunroof runners (if you wind the sunroof back, the trough where the runner sits has water in it). Had a quick look and couldnt see the drain holes (though its kinda dark out). Anybody got a pic of where they are, or a good description?

Best way to clean them out?

drain hole is right at the front. pull the corner of the roof lining down, pull the hose off and blow some compressed air down it. clears it easy

Had a quick look man, do you mean at the front corner of the sunroof?

the pipes go down the A pillars mate, so if you pull the front of the roof lining down you should see them

Basicly iirc you cant see the drain holes from the top with the sunroof in place, so if you suspect they are blocked you have to do it from the inside with roof lining down, or remove the sunroof. Been a while since i bothered opening mine though haha.

as far as i know....pop the interior light out and undo the torx bit under the sunroof handle and then....I dunno lmao I assume that allows the console bit where the light is etc to come off so you can then pull the roof carpet down (maybe undo the grab handles)

then pop off the A pillar? soemthing like that I think

Pull the door seal off and it should become clearer. Remove the sun visor too

Blast them out with a compressor is what I did. Roof lining out should do it and the visiors etc, I did more or less tear mine out though when I stripped the car

remove all the crap bolted to your roof and then pullthe door seals back. When yor clearing them, if they are well and truely jammed like mine were get some thick strimmer line and use that to loosen it up. After that chuck an air line down it. However do not do what my mate did, he poured drain unblocker down his one. The rubber piping didnt last long.....
