   how low can i get my car lowered with out it catching on speed bumps and things like that.
   i was thinking of 40mm all round.

   but on average wud lowering it 40mm affect it in a big way on bumps?

   wouldn't have thought so, but it depends how big they are and whether you're going up a steep driveway etc. but 99% of the time you should be fine.
