Possible suspension problem....

Recently bought Saxo off a friend and got pulled yesterday. the police kindly noticed that my o/s/r wheel is leaning in. ive had a quick look under the car and i cant see anything wrong with it. the car has been lowered i think around 50mm and was just wondering whether that will have something to do with it. any advice will be greatly appreciated.

sounds like the rear axle bearings have gone

ya know what i never even thought about them.,. should of really cus my old mini did the same when they collapsed. ill change them over and see if it sorts it out. thanks

can try changing them but chances are the stub pins will be worn to buggery then its axle time

so yeah took the wheel off and had a look at the bearings and they look brand new so guess its the axle... whats the tell tale signs to look for if its the axle?

you've already said it, the wheel leaning in. the axle bearings are inside the part of the trailing arm that goes onto the stub pin of the axle

you will be able to move the whole trailing arm back and forth when jacked up if the axle bearings are gone which they probably have by the sounds of it
