   Depends on what one.
   
   An open cone filter will likely reduce performance due to it taking in the warm air from the engine bay.
   
   An enclosed filter which draws in cold air from the front of the bay will increase performance (although likely not noticeable) and noise.

   Standard air box with pipercross panel filter , try a go at making a custom air feed too , i have 1 on my vts goes like a rocket
