Problem with brakes

   For no apparent reason when i was sitting stationary outside a friends house my ABS light came on, and as i was driving home the ABS light went off and while it was off my brakes felt like i was putting my foot into a bag of tools. It was like the ABS was initiated but i was braking hard.
   
   Lucky my brakes still are working but when and this only happens when the light is OFF.
   
   Why is it doing this, how do i fix it please.

   id start by checking all the sensors first mate, possibly check ur break load sensing valve as that could be siezed but not sure if it would make a difference, thats where i would start

   Im presuming you have checked and cleaned the sensors, if so then there could be a problem with the wiring.
   
   How did you check the sensors?
