The good old suspension knock

  1. #1
I have a knock on my suspension but it appears to be coming from the top of the strut. Other than the nut at the top being slightly loose what else could it be?

Its not the balljoints or anything like that because all have been changed.

I appreciate the sentiment but they were replaced a few months ago, surely they wont have gone already?

    Meh...
Did you buy shitty bearings? Bump the car into a kerb in the snow?

I bought them through fast parts so the quality on them I really don't know, no bumping into kerbs or anything. The spring sitting incorrectly in the pan by any chance?

Not a clue dude! Never experienced a slipped spring to know the noise

It's mainly a clunk on dry steer but does also happen when changing gear when the weight on the car shifts if that helps

Engine mount possibly causing a bit of movement on 1 side?

I had a similar clunk which disappeared the same time I replaced the shocks and springs, so it could easily be shifting springs
