Camber but no play

   Sorry for another Axle thread i know theres thousands of them, but cant seem to find any with this problem..
   
   Picked up a saxo with camber on the rear drivers wheel, its quite obvious camber, however when i jack it up there is no play in the wheel at all.
   
   The car is lowered, and its pretty much looking like this: |-\
   
   Was thinking that maybe the cars been wacked into the curb or something to bend the outer stub pin? could anyone shed some light, thank you.

   yup.. sounds like its taken a knock
   
   My track car has a beam off it that the wheels are / \
   
   came off a show car that had 18x8 rims and 30mm spacers lol.. so i think its bent with the excessive offset lol

   okay cheers mate, just needed a second opinion, Really cant be paying out for a whole new axle when it could just be the outer pin

   it will be cheaper and less hasle to replace the whole axle mate.

   Ive bought the outer stub pin from IM for £50, so will have to wait till next weekend to get it off the car and see if its anything worse i guess.

   Let me know what you find. Mine has the same problem and same side, just been out to check for play and there's none. I was hoping it was the wheel bearing........nope I'm not that lucky.

   i got the same, car has been in a smack a few years ago thou flew through mot like it thou so wasnt a problem

   HI
   You want to make sure that when you take off the trailing arm that there is no damage to the stub on the beam itself. When an axle has camber, sometimes it has no play as the bearing face has worn into this stub. This will groove/indent the stub and not allow the bearing to rotate properly on the axle, casuing the trailing arm to camber in at the top. You will actually see bearing marks on the top of the stub itself. If this is the case, then you will need to find a new beam. Even if you buy new bearings from Peugeot (cheap one's DO NOT last half the time), then it will be ok for a couple of months, and the same will happen. Sorry to deliver the bad news, but it nearly happened to me. Just caught mine in time. I replaced both sides, bearings, spacers, and dust seals and it came to £88 from Peugeot. Sounds alot, but these will last years. Good luck with it :-)
