1.1 lowering

  1. #1
ok so i was talking about this a few months ago. im now looking at having my 1.1 desire lowered about 50mm to add a slight sporty look and feel to my car. question is though i really fancy some starmags on it, would it be wiser to buy and fitted starmags frist then get it lowered or lower first being cheaper until i can buy the alloys?
all comments appreciated, whether good or bad

    60mm front 70mm back

For starmags I'd say drop it 80mm all round they're only 13" wheels.

Hmm fair enough. If not ill get some 15" deep dish rims and lower

life will be a tad bit easier with 15's but you'v just got to think is it really worth the hassle with 13's......... imo of course it is

Mhh true. Id like some deep dish rims but undecided. 15" Will be easier

It's quite simple unless your prepared to go really low forget starmags, at the end of the day a car lowered 50mm or 80mm is going to feel the same to your daughter (uncomfortable) lol

if you want to lower it 50mm you cant really have deep dish rims as the rear arch just isnt wide enough and it you lower it 50 or more at the front make sure you move your PAS high pressure pipe before you rub through it . mines about 60mm all round and i mean it doesnt scrap and the ride isnt too bad but the rear wheels rub on the arch if you have 2 or 3 people in the back.
