Is it possible to get the electrics working without an engine in?

   is it possible to get the electrics working with no engine in the car? i have a little project 1.1 i've been messing with and would help if i could get some power into it without having to put the engine in

   I would imagine it will be fine besides it maybe might put the engine light on the dash :/ what do you need the electrics for?

   Yer it will be fine, just hook up the battery

   Oh right cheers I thought maybe it would'nt work with things being earthed on the engine etc, I don't really know alot about electrics as you can tell.. so can I just connect earths to the shell then?
